Abstract

This article analyzes the didactic and fascinating value of the dramatic texts The Luck (1904) and Dream Tragedy (1901) by Emilia Pardo Bazán and Ramón María del Valle-Inclán respectively, who explore the beginning of the 20th century, in the search of the renevwal of theater in Spain, the suggestive power of symbolism to provide a new artistic dimensión and provoke a humanist interiorization in the reader-spectator.
