Politics word in DRAE

This article analyses the evolution of the term política and its "family" in the academic dictionary from 1737 till its latest edition in 2001. The aim is to study meaning variations in tune with social change and the emergence ofnew entries. One should note the special treatment words receive in dictatorial socio-political stages, since academic writers cannot but reflect the moment they live in.
