Abstract

The development of the wine tourism concept has enhanced the value attributed to winery production processes, their international brand image and destinations integrated within the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin. Creating wine routes has emerged as the key to attracting an increasingly demanding profile eager for new experiences. The global, complex and competitive environment in which tourism currently moves requires the various public and private agents involved to pursue standards of excellence. In this sense, quality management acts as a strategic cornerstone. From one of the basic tools of quality, the cause-effect diagram, we detail the causes that directly affect wine route tourism products and secure their contribution consolidating destinations located within the Designation of Origin
