Resumo

O liderado pode constituír un factor diferencial clave para lograr o éxito empresarial. Por iso, o seu estudo cobrou unha crecente importancia coa intención de discernir aqueles estilos de liderado que xeran maiores efectos positivos nas contornas organizativas. Con todo, non todos os xefes adoptan liderados positivos, demostrando distintos estudos que en determinados sectores —como a industria hostaleira— é frecuente atopar os denominados “liderados destrutivos”, os cales poden xerar importantes efectos negativos para as organizacións e os seus membros. O presente traballo pretende revisar determinados estilos negativos de liderado, analizando algúns dos seus efectos en traballadores de hotel. En concreto, preséntase un estudo no que se analizan os efectos de dous liderados destrutivos (a supervisión abusiva e o liderado despótico) na intención de permanecer na empresa nunha mostra de empregados de hoteis certificados coa Q de Calidade do Instituto de Calidade Turística Española (ICTE). Este estudo pretende ofrecer unha explicación ás altas taxas de absentismo e rotación habituais no sector, que derivaron nun problema actual para as empresas hostaleiras, as cales enfrontan dificultades para captar e reter o talento. Os resultados deste estudo demostran o impacto negativo dos liderados destrutivos na intención de continuar no traballo do empregado hostaleiro.
