The Perception of the landscape on the PUCRS campus

In Portuguese or Galician. This work understands the University Campus as a complex, plural and dynamic space of interrelationship between knowledge, the subjects that pass through it and the natural elements that compose it and chooses the campus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul as an object of study. Its objective was to identify the extent to which the PUCRS university campus, which has been the object of environmentalization policies by the higher management of the institution, is perceived by its users as a landscape that includes natural elements and seeks to be guided by the objectives of environmental sustainability. It was also an objective of this study to discuss, based on the contributions of environmental education and environmental psychology, strategies that could be suggested for the strengthening of the person-environment relations in this university campus. The methodology used in this research consisted of a bibliographic review and the elaboration of an environmental interpretation trail by the PUCRS campus, aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, seeking to awaken another look at the campus and highlight the good environmental practices of this university. From this intervention, we concluded that bringing students closer to the socio-environmental elements of the campus made them take more ownership of this landscape, feeling part of it, awakening to sustainability.
