This article aims to present part of a research "Master in Education", and aims to present a study on the pedagogical practices developed in the Elementary Education of EMNPS. Data collection was carried out by analyzing documents dealing with the insertion of AE in elementary school and a questionnaire answered by teachers in order to analyze how the infrastructure offered by the institution contributes to the development of an AE proposal. With the results it was possible to verify that the approach of the themes on the environment happens on time, and the developed practice does not approach EE as a real dimension of the educational process. Thus, it is suggested that the school invest in the continued training of its faculty, especially with regard to the approach to environmental issues.
