Entropía de proceso y entropía estructural en organizaciones jerárquicas. Caso de estudio

Resumen

Este trabajo analiza el uso de la entropía como medida de complejidad en sistemas organizativos jerárquicos, distinguiendo entre dos planos: la entropía de proceso y la entropía estructural. La primera se interpreta como incertidumbre probabilística asociada a configuraciones de decisión, mientras que la segunda se entiende como multiplicidad combinatoria de configuraciones jerárquicas admisibles. A partir de la formulación de Shannon y de modelos estructurales basados en árboles jerárquicos, se propone una formalización operativa que permite diferenciar ambos mecanismos de reducción de complejidad. El análisis se ilustra mediante un ejemplo aplicado a una organización académica, donde se representa una estructura institucional simplificada y una estructura curricular formada por módulos y asignaturas. Los resultados muestran que la jerarquía puede reducir la complejidad por agregación de decisiones o por restricción del espacio estructural, pero ambos mecanismos responden a objetos analíticos distintos.
