Detección automática multicanal de husos de sueño en epilepsia pediátrica

Los husos de sueño han emergido como biomarcadores neurofisiológicos en epilepsia focal pediátrica, aunque su identificación manual en registros electroencefalográficos (EEG) continúa siendo un proceso lento y subjetivo. En este trabajo preliminar se presenta una versión multicanal de un método monocanal adaptado a la detección automática de husos en pacientes pediátricos con epilepsia focal. El estudio se realizó sobre registros polisomnográficos de siete pacientes, utilizando seis derivaciones bipolares EEG y una validación multicanal basada en detección simultánea de eventos en distintas regiones cerebrales. Los parámetros del detector fueron optimizados mediante la maximización del F1-score. La configuración óptima del sistema alcanzó un F1-score global de 0.625, comparable al acuerdo inter-experto descrito en la literatura. Además, las densidades de husos estimadas mostraron rangos fisiológicamente plausibles y coherentes con estudios previos pediátricos. Los resultados sugieren que la detección automática multicanal constituye una herramienta prometedora para el análisis objetivo y reproducible de husos en epilepsia pediátrica.
