Abstract

This paper explores the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in engineering education by presenting a series of integration proposals. A five-phase methodology is presented, including surveys, training in prompts, and the use of GenAI in courses. The objective is to encourage students' use of GenAI by updating content and improving learning. Questions about how to integrate AI into education are discussed, and application examples are offered in courses. Initial survey results show positive assessments of teaching practices and improved student use of GenAI. The proposed methodology fosters good teaching practices, self-learning, critical thinking, and multilingualism, which justifies its expansion to more subjects and degree programs.
