Resumen

Este estudio examinó la relación entre la participación en actividad física y la autoeficacia emocional entre los estudiantes universitarios, enfatizando su papel en la promoción del bienestar psicológico y la resiliencia académica. Utilizando un diseño de investigación cuantitativa, específicamente un enfoque descriptivo-correlacional, el estudio recopiló datos de estudiantes universitarios seleccionados mediante muestreo aleatorio simple. El Cuestionario Internacional de Actividad Física (IPAQ) y el Cuestionario de Autoeficacia Emocional (ESEQ) fueron adoptados para medir las dos variables, con sus índices de fiabilidad asegurando una recopilación de datos precisa y consistente. Se utilizaron estadísticas descriptivas como conteos de frecuencia, media y media compuesta para describir la participación de los encuestados en la actividad física y la autoeficacia emocional. Al mismo tiempo, el Coeficiente de Correlación de Pearson probó la relación entre las dos variables. Los resultados revelaron que los encuestados generalmente demostraron un compromiso moderado con la actividad física y una autoeficacia emocional, con una relación positiva significativa entre estas variables. Esto implica que los estudiantes que participan más en actividades físicas tienden a exhibir una mejor regulación emocional, autocontrol y respuesta social, mejorando su bienestar psicológico general. El estudio concluyó además que la actividad física es crucial para desarrollar la competencia emocional de los estudiantes, subrayando su contribución a la salud mental y al rendimiento académico. Sin embargo, el estudio se limitó a un solo grupo demográfico y se basó en datos autoinformados, lo que podría afectar su generalizabilidad. Investigaciones futuras pueden explorar poblaciones más amplias, utilizar enfoques de métodos mixtos o implementar estudios longitudinales para investigar más a fondo el impacto a largo plazo de la actividad física en la autoeficacia emocional.
