What relationship does it exist in pre-service teachers´ ideas between inquiry and assessment in science education?
Main Article Content
Abstract
From educational research there are many works that link, from a qualitative perspective, the predominant teaching models with the way in which learning is evaluated in science classrooms. This work analyzes, from a quantitative approach, the relationship between teachers' profiles about teaching of science by inquiry and their beliefs about how science learning should be assess. To do this, two scales (BAIST and BASLA) have been designed and validated. These scales were applied to a total amount of 255 students of the university grade of teacher in primary education. After carrying out a factorial ANOVA between the profiles obtained and the answers given in the questionnaire on evaluation, a clear relation is observed between the pre-service teachers’ profiles about inquiry and the way in which they would assess the learning of their students.
