Abstract

In the context of the open air school movement which emerged in Europe and other parts of the world in the early 20th century, this article explores the first open air school established in Italy in the city of Padua. Here we discuss the contextual aspect, the most notable instructors, their teaching methods, and how these schools interacted with the school culture of the time.
