This paper presents a Mixed Reality (MR)-based system for dimensional verification prior to the assembly of large-scale industrial installations. The proposal applies a spatial alignment methodology using geometric transformations to superimpose virtual models onto the real environment. The system allows the operator to select reference points in both the CAD model and the actual facility, calculating the transformation required to position the virtual object. Additionally, it incorporates adjustment tools to improve alignment accuracy. The developed solution is implemented and validated through testing in controlled environments and in real-world facilities in the automotive sector. The results obtained show an average millimetric deviation and demonstrate the system’s viability for inspection tasks and early detection of interference prior to physical assembly.
