Abstract

This article examines interculture from two different standpoints: as the result or effect of the influence of heritage on citizenship education and as a structure that controls the sociability of individuals. The first perspective is explained using an analysis of the intercultural context of CEINCE, made up of the cultural heritage from the intermingling of cultures over the course of many years. The second view is examined through an analysis of the interactive practices translated into the measures, texts and networks that define the institution’s actions. The study closes with a multi-faceted hermeneutic proposal that will allow for the interpretation of the patterns of otherness as ways to build interculture.
