Redmarka is guided in all of its activities by the principles of transparency and good practice in academic publications set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in its Code of Conduct for editors, authors and reviewers.

 

Responsibilities of authors

  • Manuscripts should be original and submitted by the author (or one of the authors) of the work.
  • Authors must complete the submission form provided and indicate their acceptance of the following terms:
    • In the case of co-authored manuscripts, the author declares that he/she is acting in representation of the other authors.
    • The authors declare that no person other than those stated has the right to claim authorship or co-authorship of the work.
    • The authors declare that the work is original and has not been published previously.
    • The authors declare that the work is not in the process of being reviewed for publication by another journal.
    • The authors grant first publication rights over the work to Revista de marketing aplicado.
    • For manuscripts published by Redmarka, the authors undertake to use only the final published version of the paper in the future, and to acknowledge Redmarka as the source of publication.
    • When archiving a paper in any repository, platform or database, the authors undertake to provide a link to the appropriate DOI for the published version of the article, not the manuscript file itself. If the paper is subject to mandatory archiving at another location, the authors will use the final published version and acknowledge Redmarka as the source of publication.
  • Submission of a manuscript for consideration and publication by Redmarka implies that the authors agree to grant the journal first publication rights over the work and for the work to be published under a CC BY-SA 4.0 International use and distribution licence. Copyright is retained by the author(s).
  • Any issues raised by reviewers and editors should be addressed by the authors and a revised version of the manuscript resubmitted within the stipulated time frame.
  • Submissions should include details of any funding received.
  • Authors are encouraged to distribute their work via institutional repositories, social media and other media. Preferably, authors should provide a link to the appropriate DOI for the published version of the manuscript rather than the manuscript file If the paper is subject to mandatory archiving at another location, the authors should use the final published version and acknowledge Redmarka as the source of publication
  • Authors are encouraged to use inclusive language in their manuscripts which acknowledges diversity, conveys respect to all people and is sensitive to differences.

 

Responsibilities of reviewers

  • Reviewers undertake to use their expert knowledge to improve the quality of the manuscript by conducting a constructive, critical review of the authors’ work.
  • Reviewers undertake to complete their assessment of the manuscript within the time frame stipulated. Any delays should be notified to the journal as soon as possible.
  • Reviewers will treat the manuscript as confidential and will not, under any circumstances, use the manuscript for their own purposes.

 

Responsibilities of editors

  • Receipt of manuscripts will be acknowledged within 15 days of submission.
  • Manuscripts accepted for consideration by the journal will be sent for peer review, which will be completed within 45 days. The manuscript will be subjected to as many reviews (expert peer and editorial) as deemed necessary by the editors. Authors will be notified of the results of each evaluation.
  • Manuscripts will be assessed on the basis of the value, quality and merit of the research. Manuscripts will also be screened for any content which may be considered discriminatory on the grounds of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual identity or political beliefs.
  • The editors will ensure that all manuscripts accepted by the journal adhere to the ethical standards set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics. Manuscripts found to be in breach of these standards will be rejected by the editorial board and withdrawn from the editorial process. In the case of published manuscripts, the digital file will be removed from the journal website and a notice of retraction by the editorial board will be included in the next available print issue.
  • In accordance with the journal’s privacy policy, personal information provided by the author(s) will not be shared with any third parties and will be used for editorial and publication purposes only.
  • The editors will ensure the confidentiality of the authors during the review process and will not divulge details of the manuscript to anybody other than the corresponding author(s), reviewers or editors.
  • The editors undertake to archive all journal content in the UDC Repository (RUC), to allow long-term access to and preservation of all papers featured by the journal, even if it ceases publication.
