  The study is a theoretical reflection developed from the analysis of four doctoral research in education. The ideas discussed are part of the theoretical framework of investigations modeled as a case study that gives primacy to the Brazilian educational field, especially the policies and reforms that the university has in recent decades. The surveys have convergence as the issue of educational policies and its development within higher education organizations without thereby to isolate the complex and multifaceted context to which they belong and where intertwine.

• Social quality and policies for Higher Education in Brazil

  This text consists of both a theoretical review and a reflection on references about social quality for higher education policies in Brazil. Discussing higher education in the scenery of educational policies in Brazil requires a comprehension of educative phenomenon as a whole, considering the several contexts of social and political life. Accordingly, requires a reflection on economy, politics, culture, art, such as ethical, philosophical, scientific, technological, curricular and pedagogical issues, besides on further dimensions of human life; it will be emphasized  the defence of a higher education that is asserted in the centrality of quality proposals with social sense and values.

  This article aimed to investigate the Brazilian educational and sports law regarding the education of their young sporting talents. To this end, we proceeded to a literature review of materials produced on school athletes and a survey of national and state laws, education and sport, which deal with access and permanence of young sporting talents in school enrollment and university. As a result, it detected a flagrant contradiction between the sports legislation and education legislation regarding the frequency control of the student-athletes.

• A reforma do ensino superior no contexto da reforma do estado brasileiro

  A Reforma do Estado brasileiro estabelecida nos anos 90 do século XX durante o governo de Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1995-2002) é o ápice da ascensão das políticas neoliberais no país, representadas pelo forte ajuste fiscal e a implantação de um Estado mínimo, conformando o estabelecimento de diminuição ou corte nos gastos públicos e a progressiva privatização de empresas estatais e de serviços públicos de uma maneira geral.  Esta reforma, configura-se como a primeira geração de reformas neoliberais brasileiras que buscam, especificamente, a redefinição do estado e do que lhe é atividade exclusiva e do que será considerado seu corpo de servidores.A segunda geração de reformas acontece nos anos do governo de Lula da Silva (2003-2010), numa expressiva complementaridade ás reformas iniciadas no governo anterior, ainda que estas se mostrem contrárias às necessidades dos trabalhadores brasileiros em geral e fortemente marcadas pelas diretrizes dos organismos internacionais do capital tais como o Banco Mundial e o Fundo Monetário Internacional, para os chamados países periféricos.  Entre os anos de 2003 e 2007, no contexto da Reforma do Estado, passou então a ser institucionalizada a reforma do ensino superior brasileiro, que ganha corpo com a adoção de um conjunto de medidas, dentre elas, o Programa de Apoio aos Planos de Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades Federais (REUNI), implantado por Decreto lei em 2007. Propomo-nos a analisar, a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, a política de expansão do ensino superior brasileiro efetivada no contexto da reforma do estado e as transformações educacionais determinadas por essa política, implantadas nas instituições publicas de ensino superior no período de 2007-2012. Buscamos identificar nessa expansão, a configuração de um processo efetivo de democratização  do acesso ao ensino superior no Brasil. Nossos estudos, até o momento, apontam para um aumento significativo de instituições federais criadas no periodo, para o  aumento das matrículas, para a expansão de campi, para o aumento na contratação de docentes. Contudo, identificamos problemas na implantação do REUNI, no que diz respeito principalmente à estrutura física com novas Universidades e Campi de Expansão em processo de construção;  à estrutura pedagógica e curricular, com novos cursos criados cujos Projetos pedagógicos encontravam-se em fase de elaboração; ao trabalho docente precarizado pela sobrecarga de disciplinas e o acúmulo de outras atividades afins ao exercício do magistério superior.

  Brazil has set public policies and created legal instruments that guarantee the rights of persons with special needs, such went through various stages that justify their arrival to the laws and edicts inclusion, particularly for technology education. This article aims to describe the first stage of the research entitled "Inclusion policy of the Brazilian government from public tenders Extension-PROEXT" University Extension Program ". Therefore the literature will be used. Therefore, justified the relevance of this study, as reported in a reflective initiative based on the principle of the right to full citizenship.

• Service-Learning, teaching and social involvement of university teachers. Is there any connection?

  The aim of this paper is to evaluate the extent to social participation of university teachers in the third sector will exert an influence on their teaching, and also, in their opinion on service-learning. So we've made a study of ex-post-facto (not experimental), with descriptive method of survey methodology. The population has been the faculty of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Sample of 326 subjects). We conclude that involvement in projects related to these entities, it seems that relates to a look of teaching beyond the classroom and understand the social responsibility of the University as a key factor.

• Teaching in Psychological Evaluation: formation in Brazil

  Training in Psychology, in Brazil, is regulated by legislations that imposes minimum parameters such as workload 4050 hours. Nevertheless, there isn’t determinations on what should be the minimum content. Maintenance costs lead the organizations to economic curriculums, reducing costs on specific training in practices and laboratories. From the analysis of 767 curriculums, verified a change from 974 to 9700 hours per course. Focusing on the workload of psychological evaluation it has 36 to 640 hours, with an average of 257.11 hours. This seems little to train as the exclusive Psychologist assignment granted by law.

• Service-Learning and academic achievement of university students

  This paper is aimed at finding the relationship between the implementation of Service-Learning programs at the university level, and students’ academic performance. To this end, first, service-learning should be understood as an effective teaching practice from an academic point of view, and a literature review should be carried out to understand the impact that this methodology has on students’ academic performance. Thus, an international literature review is performed, due to the limited scope that this approach had so far in our country, where most research studies focused particularly on the civic and social dimension.

• Impact of active employment policies in higher education

  The current active employment policies are one of the essential pillars in the labor market functioning which contribute to the creation of employment and facilitate work placement for unemployed, these included young people as one of the main priority attention groups. Thus, the aim of this study is to perform review of the impact that current active employment policies have on youth employability. Hence, we focus around building theoretical framework which course has allows us to collect and understand theories and approaches existing in a most significant bibliography.
