Recommendations for inclusive, non-sexist language

Revista de Estudios e Investigación en Psicología y Educación uses and promotes the use of inclusive, non-sexist language in its publications. Given the complexity and social impact of the thematic areas covered by the journal, authors should take particular care when reporting data to describe and analyze participant characteristics in appropriate terms and omit details not relevant to the hypothesis or results of the research. Patronizing or stereotypical language should be avoided in all cases. Where data in relation to sex are collected as part of the study, authors are recommended to mention whether they have considered the influence of sex as a variable on any differences between the results, and to report any findings in this regard in the conclusions.
