Improve the socialization of students in elementary school: a multidisciplinary intervention

Abstract
This paper examines the impact of a training program in social skills that was applied in a classroom of second course in an Elementary school. The objective was improving participation, cohesion and inclusion of all students. The group was exposed to the influence of collaborative and gymnastic games. Also, teachers were trained to create a motivating climate in the classroom. The results show differences between pretest and postest of socialization measures, we also observed significant improvements in self-concept and achievement in students. The results concluded that the training of social skills is an effective intervention for the improvement of socialization.
