Abstract
This project was developed in three Argentine universities, a Chilean and Portuguese. In Latin American universities attending subjects from different ethnic groups (huarpes, Aymara, Wichi, Mapuche). They were targets of the investigation: a) identify the motivations of admission to the University and the evolving expectations (of future work); b) know the representations that have the value of education as a way forward; c) meet institutional strategies (curriculum, interaction, services) to integrate and retain them. The findings show the low effectiveness of the programs implemented, with high rates of failure and neglect.
