Escala de prejuicios sexuales en el deporte: traducción y análisis psicométrico

Resumen

Este estudio presenta la traducción y validación inicial de la Sexual Prejudice in Sport Scale (SPSS) para su uso en Brasil y Portugal. La escala contiene 19 ítems y está organizada en 3 subescalas: Rechazo abierto, Negación de la visibilidad y Actuación de género. En el estudio participaron 618 estudiantes universitarios atletas (348 brasileños y 270 portugueses), que respondieron a un cuestionario sociodemográfico, a la SPSS y a la Escala Multidimensional de Actitudes hacia Lesbianas y Gays (EMAHLG). Se realizaron análisis factoriales confirmatorios, pruebas de fiabilidad, validez convergente y discriminante y una evaluación de la invarianza entre países. Las subescalas de Rechazo abierto y Actuación de género mostraron propiedades psicométricas adecuadas en ambos países. Sin embargo, la subescala de Negación de la visibilidad mostró problemas de validez discriminante, especialmente en la muestra brasileña. Las correlaciones con la EMAHLG mostraron una validez convergente satisfactoria. Se observaron diferencias significativas en los niveles de prejuicio entre países, con puntuaciones más altas en Portugal. La conclusión es que existen pruebas preliminares positivas de las cualidades psicométricas de la SPSS, especialmente en Portugal.
